About Us
CIEA is a Tribal non-profit working in partnership with California Indian Tribes and Tribal communities. Projects include strategic planning, providing trainings for CA Tribal staff and community members and support for the protection of cultural and subsistence tribal uses, rebalancing forest and watersheds, and planning for climate resiliency. Our goal is to provide the information and tools for California Indian communities to address environmental issues and protect thier own continuance by avoiding toxins in traditional foods and to train future generations to be environmental stewards.
Programs highlight best practices, resource opportunities and collaborative parterships of Tribes with local, state, and federal government agencies.
For current programs see our Tribal Self Advocacy page.
